Augustine Azuka Okocha also known as Jay-Jay Okocha is a retired Nigerian footballer who was born on the 14th of August, 1973, in Enugu. He began his career playing for Nigerian side Enugu Rangers, before moving to Germany to join Borussia Neunkirchen in 1990 and won three trophies with them. He moved to Eintracht Frankfurt in 1992 spending two years with the German club before joining Turkish side Fenerbahçe in 1996. Okocha spent two seasons with Fenerbahçe, winning the Prime Minister's Cup and the Ataturk Cup during his time there. In 1998 he secured a move to Paris Saint Germain where he spent four seasons with the French Club where he won the Trophée des Champions and the UEFA Intertoto Cup.
In 1998, Jay-Jay Okocha made a move to England to join Bolton Wanderers, then of the First Division. He would spend four years with Bolton, helping them gain promotion to the Premier League in 2001 and also reaching the League Cup final in 2004. After his time with Bolton, he had short spells with Qatar SC and Hull City before retiring from football in 2008.
